Non-Senate Academic Titles

All academic non-senate appointments, whether by recruitment or waiver, must be approved by the appropriate campus offices before the scholar can begin working.  Please allow an additional 3-6 months for visa processing where necessary.

Titles and Pay Scales

  • Please complete the Non-senate Recruitment Request form. Please contact you HR Generalist with questions on the form.
  • Provide the form to you Team 9 HR Generalist at least three months prior to desired start date. They will assist in writing a job ad, and create the search plan and recruitment record in AP Recruit.
  • Be sure to approve the search in AP Recruit. You will receive an email alerting you when to do so. Your HR Generalist will contact you, should the campus require further information prior to posting the position.
  • Once the 30-day minimum period is passed, completed applications will be available to review on AP Recruit. Your HR Generalist will provide you with the list of disposition reasons, and assist during the screening and interviewing portion of the process.
  • Please provide the final list of disposition reasons, and request for appointment of the selected candidate. HR Generalist will create a search report and appointment request in AP Recruit.
  • Once approval is received from campus, the HR Generalist will provide you with an offer letter to review and sign. If applicable, they will work with the candidate to complete the visa request process.

 

Waiver of Recruitment - Request and Process

  • Please complete the Non-senate Waiver information form. Please contact you HR Generalist with questions on the form.
  • Provide the form to your Team 9 HR Generalist at least two months prior to desired start date. They will create the waiver request in AP Recruit.
  • Be sure to approve the waiver request in AP Recruit. You will receive an email alerting you when to do so. Your HR Generalist will contact you, should the campus require further information prior to approving the appointment.
  • Once approval is received from campus, the HR Generalist will provide you with an offer letter to review and sign. If applicable, they will work with the candidate to complete the visa request process.
